Behind the Wheel Policy (Part 2 of 2) Drivers Edu. STUDENTS ONLY all other will be REJECTED
You must present a valid learner's permit to your BTW Instrucotr upon arrival or pick up from local schools (Poly, Western, Forest Park, Northwestern,Douglass and Carver). High School Students must also have a valid school ID from the school listed indicated. NO PERMIT, NO LESSON, NO EXCEPTION. Student's have up to 18 weeks to complete all lessons.
1.) All balances and fees must be paid prior the scheduling.
2.) You will not be able to start your lessons the same day you pay your balance.
3.) BTW lessons are by appointments only. You will receive a confirmation via email. If you do not receive a confirmation do not assume it has been scheduled. Call 410-764-1133 to inquire on your appointment status. You may select to recieve a reminder text and or e-mail.
4.) Students are allowed 15 minutes for lateness, after 15 minutes the student is considered a NO SHOW and charged $30.00. This fee must be paid prior to scheduling another lesson.
5.) To cancel a confirmed lesson your may do so online (refer to your confirmation e-mail) call 410-764-1133, leave a message if after hours or if answering service picks up. You can also submit a cancellation request online at www.driversedu.net. Once confirmed and you do not show up, you will be charged a $30.00 No Show Fee. If charged, this fee must be paid prior to scheduling or taking any BTW lessons. After your 3rd cancellation you will be charged $10.00 per lesson that must be paid at time of lesson. No payment, No Lesson.
6.) Students will receive a grade slip at the end of each BTW lesson. Grade slips are intended to be reviewed with your parent or mentor. It is also used as a line of communication between your instructor and your parent or mentor to improve on area's of weakness. 8.) Students who arrive for a BTW lesson who appear to be intoxicated or drug induced will not be permitted to drive. Your lesson will be cancelled and a No Show Fee will be applied to your account.
9.) A learner's permit is valid for 2 years. Driver's Edu is not responsible for your permit if it expires due to scheduling conflicts.
